Evaluations involve interviewing, testing, giving verbal feedback and providing a detailed report. For extensive evaluations I also include a school observation, a separate feedback session for the student, and detailed recommendations for school IEPs and 504 Plans. I sometimes attend IEP and 504 meetings at the student's school.
Evaluation types:
I do therapy with children, teens and adults, including individual, couple, co-parenting and family therapy.
When working with children, most therapy includes parents. My skills include:
I work with children of all ages, including the very young.
Teen therapy is done with or without parents and focuses on balancing independence with school and family responsibilities.
The focus of couple therapy is on solving heated issues and building communication skills.
Co-parenting therapy centers on having healthy communication and making good decisions about the child(ren).
Family therapy is done with school-aged children and their parent(s) or adult children and their parent(s).
